Business Systems Analyst – Limassol
Our client a, Global Portfolio Investment Company is seeking to grow their team with a Business Systems Analyst to join their offices in Limassol.
The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Business Systems Development team. The role requires extensive involvement with the development and maintenance of company’s back office systems; the company’s website and reports’ implementation. It further involves the development and support of the company’s marketing and document management systems, third-party information systems and other business related applications.
The Individual
The individual should be a professional with high integrity and loyalty, a critical approach to his/her work, experience in a varied, fast-moving project environment, knowledge of databases, a desire to build flawless systems, and with background in the development and design of large, complex software systems. We are seeking for an individual who has a meticulous eye for detail together with the ability to see the bigger picture, and above all, be a good team player.
Skill & Experience Requirements
- A good honours degree in computing or numerate fields
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven experience administering the Microsoft SharePoint Server
- Proven experience developing sites and other interfaces on the Microsoft SharePoint Server
- Excellent knowledge in developing T-SQL queries (views, functions, stored procedures)
- Excellent knowledge in designing normalised & efficient relational database models
- At least 3 years development experience and 1 year experience in the financial industry
- Minimum 3 years work experience using MS Visual Studio 2008/2010 ASP .NET, C#
- Minimum 3 years work experience using MS SQL Server 2005/2008
- Minimum 2 years work experience in graphics design (Photoshop, PaintShoPro, Illustrator)
- Experience in developing Web applications (.NET, HTML, Java/VB Script, IIS)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communications & interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to travel abroad when required
The following skills are preferred, but not essential:
- A postgraduate degree in computing or numerate fields
- Background in Financial instruments
- Previous experience in portfolio accounting and investment services platforms
- Knowledge of Advent Geneva or knowledge of similar fund accounting platform
- Bloomberg API connectivity
- Experience in SUN Solaris & Linux Operating Systems
