Our client a neutral software development company based in Limassol Cyprus is seeking to recruit a Quantitative Analyst. Our client provides premium products to the foreign exchange industry. The team is comprised of highly professional developers from all over the world, highly adaptive developers who keep-up-to-date with new technologies
As Quantitative Analysts you will work independently making decisions on how to use collective information in a constructive manner to perform related job function. You will also work as part of a team being responsible for everyone who works in your division to help them learn how to define and model specifications or data collection methods.
You will develop independent models and tools to help verify analytical systems derived from information obtained from reliable sources. You will be able to convey information by showing it in an analytical format to superiors and co-workers as well as by putting together reports that are comprehensive to the lay person. As Quantitative Analyst you will collaborate with product development teams to research, model, validate, or implement quantitative structured solutions for new or expanded markets. You will confer with other financial engineers and analysts to understand trading strategies, market dynamics, and trading system performance to inform development of quantitative techniques. You will perform historical back testing to determine optimal strategy parameters.
Required:
- An advanced degree (M.S, PhD) in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics
- Between 2-5 years’ experience in the research and deployment of quantitative strategies
- “Heavy duty” quant skills and problem solving ability is essential
- Strong self-supporting programming skills
- The ability to communicate to non-quant’s
- Team player, happy to work in a collegiate environment
