Senior Security Engineer
Job Description
Managing several complementary security technologies across multiple sites.
Responding, investigating and resolving security incidents as and when needed, as well as conducting industry research and providing recommendations for emerging trends and network security practices.
Working on multiple simultaneous projects and delivering on a dynamic set of objectives and requirements, as part of a team of specialists.
Required Experience
6 years’ experience in hands-on security administration and management for various security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion prevention and detection systems, mail and web security gateways, encryption and remote access technologies, anti-malware and end-point security solutions, etc.
Demonstrable project implementation experience, working as part of a wider team of technology specialists
Proven security infrastructure design skills to support a dynamic business and technology environment
Proven experience in log analysis, security incident response and investigation
Strong network LAN/WAN understanding and hands-on knowledge is mandatory
Proven experience in executing periodic and ad-hoc security assessments with detailed reporting regarding exposure, risk and remediation.
Qualifications:
MSc – in Information Security or related field
BSc – in Technology or business-related field
Vendor-specific Certifications – PaloAlto, Checkpoint, Juniper, Tipping Point, Others will be consider an advantage
Security Certifications – CISSP, CISM or related
Other Professional Requirements:
Strong team player within a team of specialists
