On behalf of our client, C House, a Milano based Café/Lounge Bar, soon to open in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit a;
Summary of responsibilities
To be responsible for all operational aspects of the Food & Beverage side of the business for the efficient running of all Back of House departments. To reach and maintain the highest possible operational standards.
Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities; estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food in coordination with F&B Manager.
Follow and develop selected recipes; follow standardized production recipes to ensure consistent quality; follow established presentation techniques and quality standards.
Follow recipes according to menu to stay within costing; ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance; and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen.
The cook, may cook selected items or for select occasions. Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrate culinary techniques. Directly supervises kitchen personnel with responsibility for supporting, motivating and disciplining kitchen brigade, as well as offering feedback during performance reviews.
Native Cypriot or Greek and fluent in English
Minimum 3 years previous experience in a similar role
A diploma from a recognized college in cookery and or culinary arts
