Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant

Our client is a very well-established Law firm based in Nicosia. They are seeking to hire an Accountant/Bookkeeper who has 2 -3 years’ experience in a similar role.

Job Description:

  • Ensure that all financial information is recorded in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain proper accounting records.
  • Maintain record of employee timesheets and checking time records per job.
  • Verify and record invoices from suppliers and customers.
  • Issue company’s credit invoices to clients.
  • Responsible for the company’s Credit Control.
  • Record and check company bank statements.
  • Conduct regular bank and cash flow reconciliations.
  • Directly communicate with suppliers and service providers as applicable.
  • Deal with financial paperwork and filing.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support.
  • Prepare and review statements for Third parties.
  • Monthly reconciliations.
  • Liaise with external auditors for the annual statutory audit.

Required Skills & Experience

  • University Degree and/or holder of LCCI Higher
  • Previous experience in a similar position of at least 2 years.
  • Excellent knowledge of both Greek and English language (both spoken and written).
  • Committed to exceptional client service.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Computer literate (word, excel, outlook).

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Competitive salary to include 13th Salary.
  • Working days and hours, Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch. Friday half day finishing at 2.30pm
