Larnaca’s business infrastructure is primarily represented by small and medium sized enterprises (SME’s), rather than by larger multinational companies more often located in other cities in Cyprus. Therefore, quite naturally, the type of job vacancies available in Larnaca will reflect this fact.

The main distinguishing feature in this context however, is that Larnaca is home to the main international airport of Cyprus, therefore many job opportunities are available in Larnaca within the aviation industry as well as within airport support and operational roles.

The tourism industry plays an important role in Larnaca. Of late new hotels have been springing up and the new Marina is under construction offering opportunities for jobs within the hospitality industry.

A new shopping mall is also currently under construction, which will start creating many career vacancies in the retail sector.
